Just as our bodies need to rest, so do your minds. A mental reset involves stopping everything you’re currently doing and do something else instead. A mental reset allows us to increase productivity and reduce stress in our lives by renewing our mental resources. I recently did a mental reset at the beginning of the year. I was dealing with stress of a new job, the passing of my grandmother, and just usual life stresses. Since the reset, I’ve gain a more positive perspective on life, clarity, peace, strength, and a new sense of purpose. Some things that I did to reset my mind were :
Meditate
Get back into a routine
Exercise
Journal
Get more sleep
Ask for help
